No Idle Hands

I have just started Pebble beach shawl for the KAL. We are going on a 3 day mini holiday in Kent from tomorrow and it’s perfect for travel project. I hope I can still get it done by the August 10 KAL end date despite the late start! I’m loving the yarn so far. Very airy and crisp at the same time. And the colour is just perfect. Pebbles in ocean waves. Love.

I’m addicted to making and spinning mini faux punis. It’s like painting with colours in soft merino. Whenever I have 15 mins to spare I find myself rolling one more to immediately spin it and ply on the fly on my spindle. It’s slow but extremely relaxing and satisfying.

And my Hitofude is growing steadily. Very pleasant knit so far and I’m already thinking of making more. Also contemplating adding beads to the hem for some sparkle and drape. I have chosen the beads but haven’t decided where to place them yet.

Thank God for British summer and toddler nap time 🙂
